John Sewell was born in South Yorkshire, educated in Scotland, where he studied Architecture and Urban Design, John worked as a conservation architect for the Peak District National Park. He was a finalist in the Arvon International Poetry Competition in 1987 and included in Poetry Review’s New British Poets II, 1990. He has had three collections published: The Imbolc Bride (Littlewood Arc); Bursting The Clouds (Cape); and Woods, River, Road (Fair Acre Press). His pamphlet: Hokusai’s Passion (36 Glimpses of Skiddaw) was published by Offa’s Press. He lives in Shropshire and is a member of Border Poets.
