When, Eusty, the last of the traditional coracle men of Ironbridge died in 2003 the Ironbridge Coracle Trust was set up to preserve the traditional skills and stories of coracles and coracle making in the Gorge.
The shed contains the contents of coracle man Eusty’s shed and a range of interactive displays and commissioned works by local artists to tell the fascinating and entertaining stories and antics that the coracle men were famous for. The Coracle Stories exhibition within the New Shed shows original footage and voice recordings from interviews from Eusty and the coracle men to bring you a first-hand account of life on the river.

The New Coracle Shed is open Wednesdays to Sundays 09:00 until 15:00.

The Festival of Imagination and the Telford Film Festival are thrilled to invite you to join us in a beautiful Spiegeltent in Dale End Park Ironbridge, for a very special screening of the original 1940 Disney classic, Pinocchio. A living puppet, with the help of a cricket as his conscience, must prove himself worthy to become a real boy.  

Before sitting down to enjoy the film, why not try your hand at puppet making! The multi award winning theatre company, PuppetSoup, will be offering you the chance to you create your very own 'Bird of Joy' in their amazing puppet workshop. The mechanism inside these beautiful birds means they can flap their wings, just like a real bird! 

The workshop is suitable for all ages but please be advised that the film, Pinocchio, is a PG film. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for both the puppet workshop and film. (You only need to reserve a puppet workshop place for participants not the supervising adults as well) 

Workshop time: 13:00 > 14:00

Exiled into the dangerous forest by her wicked stepmother, a princess is rescued by seven dwarf miners who make her part of their household.

Before sitting down to enjoy the film, why not try your hand at chocolate making! Choc Tilly are known for their exquisitely hand-crafted chocolates and will be offering you the chance to make your own chocolate lolly to enjoy and decorate.
